Either he was late, or she was incredibly early. Either way, she found herself sitting at the coffee shop alone with getting growing steadily closer to 10 o’clock. Every time the door opened she would look over only to be disappointed when the newcomer was either A) a woman or B) a really cute guy meeting some really lucky girl… or guy.

She ordered another tea and decided to give the guy another five minutes. Just then, the door chimed open and a squat, balding man bustled through. He looked directly at her and disappointment filled her to the brim.
