Kagome fidgeted with her teacup as the squat man made his way to her table. He smiled, shook her hand and confirmed he was, in fact, RochsIgor. She wilted in her seat while he ordered a decaf coffee, a cinnamon roll, and some of those beautiful petit fours just for her. That surprised her and suddenly she remembered Kikyo’s words:

“…you don’t have to like him.”

That’s right. This isn’t a real date. What does it matter that he is unattractive. I can still have a good time.
