Kagome scrolled down the list counting as she went. The closer she got to 18 the harder it was for her to breathe. It was like she had spun the big wheel on “The Price is Right”, waiting for the arrow of her mouse to land on the right number. Her hand slowed down at 16 and a voice in the back of her head began whispering, “No, no, no, no, no…”

There was no denying it.

She gave a great sigh and said into the phone, “Number eighteen doesn’t have a picture.”

To which Kikyo replied, “Rules are rules.”
